Linux been my favourite Operation System for the past four years. The beginning was a crazy attempt, I extract one file which i believed the entire OS is 5MB. It is in *.tar.gz format well guess what it said linux-*.*.*.tar.gz!!! Oh well I downloaded kernel, a uncompiled kernel on a pure dos via network. Then use GZIP and TAR to extrack it out, when I notice *.c and *.h file.. I begin to wonder do I need to build it! Three days I struggle with it alone, don't know what the hell am I trying. Finally I gave up. Then after a year, I begin to install linux at home, brought Cadera.. fail to install there isn't support for LS120 drive then. I begin to do more research after that, the I come to learn Slackware. Get package to download! There it goes my first linux named eplx01. The name survive till now but running not in Intel i386 system anymore but Alpha EV platform. I am using Debian 2.1 which is obsolete. Only recently this core OS start to upgrade its main library. I moving on to Slackware, my old faithful. Wish me luck.
